Swarovski Crystal Society
The Swarovski Crystal Society (SCS) was founded in 1987 by the Swarovski company to address a growing network of collectors. Today, the SCS is the world’s largest collector society with an international following of close to 200,000 members in more than 125 countries.
Since its formation, every year a special Annual Edition has been created exclusively for members. To this day, 30 Annual Editions speak of the history of the SCS as well as the technological development over the years.
Aside from learning more about how water is important to the crystal making process and appreciating the crystal forms created over the years, Swarovski Crystal Society members support the idea of teaching children about water in fun and exciting ways, which ultimately led to the foundation of Swarovski Waterschool National Park Hohe Tauern in Austria in 2000. See how they strive to have a social impact on the use of water, HERE.
