Do I need an appointment to consign?
Yes. Please call 941-366-5293 to schedule an appointment.
How do I consign home furnishings items?
The first step is to email pictures to designingwomenboutique@comcast.net. Or you can mail or hand deliver prints to the shop at 1226 N. Tamiami Trail (at 13th St.), Sarasota, FL 34236. If your furnishings are considered for consignment, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment. For full or partial Estates, or for individual pieces you need to part with due to downsizing, you can also email photos of some representative pieces, or call 941-366-5293 and ask to speak with Carol Ripper, Estates Division Manager.
Is there a limit on the number of items I can consign?
Yes, the limit is five to ten items at a time, depending on the time of year. Since we often do not accept everything submitted, you may want to bring in a few more than the seasonal limits. There are situations in which more items can be accepted at one time, such as for estate liquidations, downsizing, and relocations. Please call us and we’d be happy to discuss your specific needs and answer any questions you may have.
